Prepositions of Place — My Neighborhood Story

How it works

Prepositions of place tell us where something is. In this story, Ana describes her neighborhood — but 15 prepositions are missing! Read the story carefully and fill in each blank with the preposition that fits. Think about the meaning: an exact address uses at, an area uses in, a street uses on, and words like next to, between, and across from describe where one place is compared to another.

Examples: The bike rack is beside the front door.  ·  The gym is above the supermarket.  ·  The pharmacy is opposite the bank.

Read the Story — Fill in 15 Prepositions

✏️ Now use it: Tell your partner about your own neighborhood in 3 sentences — use a preposition of place in each one. Can your partner picture where everything is?
