Information Questions — Community Services

How it works

Information questions ask for real information — not just yes or no. The question word you choose tells the listener what kind of answer you want. Use Where and How far to ask about places, When, What time, and How often to ask about time, and How much to ask about cost. Use What to ask about things you need or details about a service.

Examples: Where is the library?  ·  What time does it open?  ·  How much does it cost to mail a package?

Fill in the Blanks (15)

✏️ Now use it: Write 3 information questions about your own community — one about a place, one about a time, and one about a cost. Read them to a partner — can they answer your questions?
