During a Fire Emergency 🔥

Characters:

Scene: Inside an apartment building hallway.

(The scene opens with MARK and LENA in the hallway, looking concerned.)

MARK: Lena, do you smell that? It smells like smoke.

LENA: Oh no, you're right! It's coming from the third floor, I think. We need to **evacuate** immediately!

MARK: The fire alarm isn't going off. Maybe it's not a big fire?

LENA: Don't wait for the alarm! We have to get out now. Do you remember the **fire escape** plan?

MARK: Yes, go down the stairs and meet at the assembly point.

LENA: Exactly. We should go together. Take the stairs, never the elevator.

(They quickly walk down the stairs to the ground floor.)

LENA: Okay, we're outside. Now we need to **call for help**. Do you have your phone?

MARK: Yes. I'm calling 911 right now.

(Mark holds his phone to his ear. A dispatcher's voice is heard.)

DISPATCHER: 911 Emergency. What is your emergency?

MARK: Hello, there's a fire at 123 Pine Street, Apartment 3C. We saw smoke.

DISPATCHER: Okay, sir. We're sending the fire department right away. Is anyone still inside?

MARK: I'm not sure. We knocked on our neighbors' doors, but they didn't answer.

LENA: Wait, what about Mrs. Jones from apartment 3A? I saw her car was here.

MARK: I told them about the address. The fire department will check for everyone. Let’s go to our **assembly point**, which is across the street near the big oak tree.

LENA: Good idea. We need to stay calm and wait for the firefighters.

(They walk toward the street. The sound of sirens can be heard getting closer.)
