Scene: Rosa has an important work event on Friday. She is dropping off a suit jacket with a stain at the dry cleaners. Mr. Kim is behind the counter.
MR. KIM: Good afternoon! What can I do for you today?
ROSA: Hi! I need this suit jacket cleaned. I have an important event on Friday — is that enough time?
MR. KIM: Let me see… Today is Monday, so regular service will have it ready by Wednesday. That gives you plenty of time.
ROSA: Wonderful. There’s also a stain on the sleeve — I spilled coffee on it this morning.
MR. KIM: I see it. Coffee stains usually come out fine, but I can’t promise 100%. The sooner we treat it, the better.
ROSA: I understand. Should I point it out on the ticket, or will you remember?
MR. KIM: I’ll mark it right here on your claim ticket: “coffee stain, right sleeve.” Always check the ticket before you leave.
ROSA: Good idea. How much will it cost?
MR. KIM: A suit jacket is $8.50. Stain treatment is included in the price.
ROSA: That’s reasonable. Do I pay now or when I pick it up?
MR. KIM: You pay at pickup. We accept cash and cards.
ROSA: Perfect. What are your hours on Wednesday?
MR. KIM: We’re open 8 to 6 on weekdays, and 9 to 2 on Saturdays. We’re closed Sundays.
ROSA: I’ll come Wednesday after work, around 5:30. Will that work?
MR. KIM: Absolutely. Just bring this ticket — we need it to find your jacket.
ROSA: What happens if I lose the ticket?
MR. KIM: Don’t worry — we also tag every item with your phone number. But the ticket makes it much faster.
ROSA: I’ll keep it somewhere safe. One last question — can you press the jacket too, so it looks sharp?
MR. KIM: Pressing is always included. It’ll look like new, I promise.
ROSA: Thank you, Mr. Kim. See you Wednesday!
MR. KIM: See you then, and good luck at your event!
