Scene: Mei is new in town and trying to find the public library. Her phone died, so she asks Ben, a passerby, for directions.
LUCAS: Excuse me — do you know this area? I have three errands and only two hours!
NINA: I do! I live right downtown. What do you need to do?
LUCAS: First, I need to pick up my dry cleaning. Is there a dry cleaner near here?
NINA: Yes — go straight for two blocks, then turn left on Fifth Street. It's next to the bank.
LUCAS: Got it. After I pick up the dry cleaning, I need to mail a package. Where is the post office?
NINA: The post office is across from the park. Take Broadway to Sixth Avenue, and it's on the corner.
LUCAS: Is it far from the dry cleaner?
NINA: Not really — about a ten-minute walk. When you leave the dry cleaner, just follow Fifth Street back to Broadway.
LUCAS: Perfect. And last, I need to go grocery shopping before I go home.
NINA: There's a big store two blocks from the post office. When you finish at the post office, turn right and walk straight.
LUCAS: Should I walk, or take the bus?
NINA: Walking is fine — everything is close. But if you're tired, taking the bus is easy too. The bus stop is in front of the post office.
LUCAS: Good to know. What time does the post office close?
NINA: At five. So mail your package before you go grocery shopping!
LUCAS: Right — post office first, then groceries. When I finish shopping, I'll call a ride share app.
NINA: Smart plan. The parking lot behind the store is a good pickup spot.
LUCAS: You've saved my afternoon. Before I go — is there a good restaurant around here?
NINA: Yes! There's a great taco place across from the theater. After your errands, you should try it.
LUCAS: Tacos after errands — the perfect ending. Thank you so much!
NINA: You're welcome! Good luck with your errands!
